Maxwell Taylor Trophy sponsored by Baits Direct

The Maxwell Taylor Trophy is a knockout cup run by Bentley Cricket Club. For many years it was played amongst the village clubs in Brentwood. The competition was successfully revamped last year with the competition being open to all Brentwood clubs, and basing the format on the Twenty 20 cup played at County level.

National Village Championship

The 2006 National Village Championship is the 35th time that this unique UK community-based sporting event has been held. Organised by The Wisden Cricketer magazine, the competition promotes the heart of the game in the UK with this year's Championship attracting over 490 villages.
The 2006 Championship, which begins with a gentle game between two neighbouring villages in May, climaxes with a Final at the spiritual home of cricket, Lord's. Click here for the 2006 draw

Shepherd Neame Twenty 20 Knockout Competition

37 clubs have entered the competition, approximately 20 are from the Shepherd Neame league.  It will be played in area groups until one club is left in that group.  It will then continue with the group winners playing.  It is also a good possibility that the Semi-Finals & Final will be played at the County Ground, Chelmsford on September 24th 2005.
